HARD WORK weaves together the Hawks’ past and present, leading to the club’s second Championship and its first on home soil. From the gritty start of the club in 1979, its ups and downs (both on and off the court) through every era to now, it captures the spirit of the community that would not let this club die.

This is the story of how the Hawks survived when no other NBL foundation club did.

Now in Post-Production

After six months of shooting, thirty seven interviews and the collection of a treasure trove of historic material, we are now in post-production, bringing it all together.

HARD WORK will appeal not just to Hawks and sports fans but to a broad Australian audience through its underdog story and focus on real-life characters. International interest will spread due to the spotlight Justin Tatum's son, NBA Champion Jayson Tatum, has brought to the team, as well as former Hawks and current NBA players LaMelo Ball and Lachy Olbrich.
